An Exceptional Learning Experience
IBDP ENGLISH LANGUAGE & LITERATURE
Our language and literature programme is designed to help students learn how to critically study and interpret written and spoken texts from a wide range of literary and non literary genres.
For the language part, student will explore cultural development and use, its media forms and functions, and its literature. Our goal is help students develop skills of literary and textual analysis, and also the ability to present their ideas effectively.
Typical content that will be covered for language in a cultural context is the language of gender, sexuality, political power, propaganda, multilingualism, identity etc.
The content that will be covered in language and mass communication includes textual bias, persuasive language, stereotypes, media institutions etc.
Our current batch of IBDP students are from Yew Chung International, PLK Choi Kai Yau, and Lutheran Academy. We are sure you will enjoy the challenging and stimulating learning environment we can provide.
The Programme
Two Lessons Per Week
Each Lesson an hour and a half long.
